Indev Group honoured with Lenovo’s Operational Excellence award

IT was a proud moment for the Chennai-based Indev Group at the Lenovo Global Logistics Supplier Conference in China recently, where it received the award for operational excellence in the logistics sector. Indev Logistics Pvt. Ltd was the only Indian company to be chosen for this accolade.

Mr Xavier Britto, Chairman of Indev Group, received the award and acknowledged the applause from an audience of more than 160 from countries around the globe. Only five awards were given out for operational excellence, to companies in the US, Europe, China and India.

Mr Britto attributed this success to the hard work of the Indev Group team. He highlighted that the awards jury had listed the various achievements of the Group, encompassing details like operational excellence and quality of service.

Mr Britto expressed happiness at the significant participation of the Indian freight trade at the event. The award was an honour for India, he said, adding that Indev was now recognised as a global supply chain player.

The Lenovo 2012 Global Logistics Supplier Conference was held at Chengdu, China from May 31-June 1, the theme of which was 'Pioneering with Lenovo'. Discussions at the event focused on collaboration between Lenovo and its suppliers in China and non-China areas.

The Indev Group, headed by Mr Xavier Britto, is a leading entity in the Indian logistics sector. It recently expanded operations by opening more CFSs/ICDs at strategic logistics locations in the country.
