JMT to manage Messina Line’s cargo operations

Jade Master Terminal (JMT) will fully manage all container, break-bulk and other cargo movements for the Nino Ronco terminal in Genoa. Nino Ronco, owned by Messina Line, is the major terminal for its fleet of roll-on roll-off (ro-ro) and lift-on lift-off (lo-lo) cargo ships.

Messina Line says that after a worldwide search for the right logistics solution, it found Jade Software to be its preferred supplier and looks forward to building a long and productive partnership.

JMT will interface directly with an existing mainframe-based ship booking system to provide full terminal management and automated graphical ship stowage planning for Messina Line’s fleet, which includes 16 ro-ro vessels. In addition to on-site implementation and customisation, Jade Software will deliver system monitoring, maintenance, support and disaster recovery services from Christchurch through the Jade Care 24-managed service platform.
