Arshiya International shows all-round improvement in Q3

Delivers higher revenue, net profit & EBITDA

Arshiya International Ltd, a global supply chain and logistics infrastructure solutions company, announced consolidated total revenue of Rs 133.60 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009, as against Rs 114.16 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2008-09, registering an increase of 17 per cent.

Additionally, the consolidated EBITDA for the quarter under review was Rs 22.61 crore, as against Rs 18.02 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2008-09, showing an upsurge of 25 per cent.

The operating net profit for the quarter under review stood at a total of Rs 14.13 crore, an increase of 9 per cent compared to Rs 13.03 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2008.

Arshiya’s Rail Infrastructure division, which currently operates 7 rakes, delivered total revenue of Rs 12.58 crore in the third quarter of 2009-10, with an EBITDA of Rs 3.25 crore.The company expects to operate 10-12 rakes by March 2010.

For the nine-month period of 2009-10, Arshiya International reported consolidated total revenue of Rs 352.30 crore. The EBITDA was at Rs 60.10 crore. The consolidated net profit after tax stood at Rs 79.25 crore, which includes exceptional income of Rs 39.76 crore.

Commenting on the results, Mr Ajay S. Mittal, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Arshiya International Ltd, said, "We are happy with our performance and the way we are focused to deliver as per our commitment. The last quarter has been good for Arshiya Rail and Supply Chain Management which has seen steady growth. At present, all our efforts are dedicated towards operationalising our FTWZs in Mumbai and Delhi (Khurja) by April 2010 and the second quarter of 2010-11, respectively."
