ACTL forays into ICES 1.5

Associated Container Terminals Ltd (ACTL), in keeping with its tradition of entering any field first, has now forayed into the functionality of online transmission.

Filing of shipping bills with regard to DEPB, DES and EPCG to the Directorate-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) can now be done at ACTL under ICES 1.5.

ACTL opened the first private inland container depot (ICD) in North India, and was the first to introduce Garment on Hanger (GoH) concept, etc.

This development comes close on the heels of the successful migration to ICES 1.5, offering the trade continued and upgraded IT infrastructure.

The many advantages of online transmission of shipping bills include faster processing, no waiting queues, no requirement of physical presence and, therefore, quicker and cheaper cargo clearance.
