S. S. Hussain honoured with Business Leader (Ports) award

Mr S. S. Hussain, Chairman of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), was conferred the ‘Business Leader of the Year—Ports’ award at the Leadership & Excellence Awards of the Shipping, Marine & Ports 2010 International Conference held here recently.

The award was given in recognition of his contribution, at the national and international level, to the shipping and port industry.

At a glittering function held at Hotel Intercontinental The Lalit on March 4, the award was received by Mr Hussain at the hands of Mr K. Sankaranarayanan, Governor of Maharashtra, in the presence of Mr S. Hajara, Chairman and Managing Director of the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), and Mr D. T. Joseph, former Secretary in the Ministry of Shipping.
