Targeting 18,000 km of NHs in 2022-23: Gadkari
The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr Nitin Gadkari, has said that in adherence to the ambitious targets of New India under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi, the Ministry is committed to expanding the National Highways (NHs) network across the country. The aim is to construct 18,000 km of NHs in 2022-23 at a record speed of 50 km per day.
In a tweet he said the overall target is to develop 2 lakh km of National Highways by 2025, world class road infrastructure in a time-bound and target-oriented manner, as per a communique.
