Deendayal Port Authority handles 17.22 pc more cargo in the first two quarters
Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla recorded a growth of 17.22% over the corresponding period of the last fiscal by handling 70.14 MMT of cargo in the first two quarters of the current financial year (April-September 2022-23). It had handled 59.83 MMT till 30-09-2021.
Mr S. K. Mehta, IFS, Chairman and Mr Nandeesh Shukla, IRTS, Deputy Chairman congratulated Team DPA, trade unions, port users and stakeholders for this achievement and appreciated their efforts towards retaining the ‘Numero Uno’ position in cargo handling amongst the Major Ports, said an official communique.
