Tiruppur exports seen dropping significantly

Due to the economic slowdown in the United States and the Ukraine war impact on Europe, Tiruppur exports are expected to see a 30-40 per cent decline in the current fiscal, it is learnt. The United States had taken in around 40 per cent of the exports and Europe 35 per cent last year. The current situation is that raw material prices have increased, the war between Russia and Ukraine has seriously affected European demand and the US economic slowdown is causing trouble for advance orders, said a report.
