Saudi Ports Authority announces new shipping service connecting King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with Mundra and Nhava Sheva
The Saudi Ports Authority “Mawani” has announced the addition of the new shipping service MIX (MILAHA INDIA GULF EXPRESS) by MILAHA to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, strengthening import and export movements to and from the port, in line with a vision supported by reliable and efficient operations, and a safe and sustainable environment. This step aligns with Mawani’s efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s position on the Liner Shipping Connectivity Index, improve operational efficiency at King Abdulaziz Port, and boost the effectiveness of the Kingdom’s connectivity with regional and global markets, thereby supporting national exports and imports.
These efforts align with the targets of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy “NTLS”, to solidify the Kingdom’s standing as a global logistics hub bridging the three continents. The new shipping service connects King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with the ports of Mundra and Nhava Sheva in India, Sohar in Oman, Jebel Ali in the UAE, and Hamad in Qatar, with a capacity of 2,177 TEUs.
It is worth noting that Mawani’s partnerships with leading global shipping lines contribute to the ongoing development of the Kingdom’s ports, support their competitiveness, expand maritime transport lines, and improve operational and logistics service procedures, emphasised a release.
