Maharashtra Maritime Board on monsoon foul season

The foul season is expected to start with the onset of monsoon, hence shipping activities need to be restricted for safety of life and environment.
 
The foul weather season is from 26 May to 31 August 2025.
 
Vessels registered under the Inland Vessel Act are restricted for operations in open sea during the foul weather season and will be permitted for operations only within the enclosed and protected waters of respective port limits, said a recent Maharashtra Maritime Board Circular.
