Berth shutdown at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port

Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port (SMPK) has decided that the shutdown of Berth 17(0) (erstwhile HOJ II) shall begin from April 22, 2023.
 
The shutdown will be for a total duration of 30 days and to be undertaken in three phases of 10 days each.
 
In view of the operating convenience of port users, intermittent windows for vessel operation will be allowed for periods varying between 3 to 4 days in between the said shutdown phases. The duration of such working windows are to be decided by the appropriate authority of SMPK.
 
All users of HOJ-II have been requested to be guided by the same and plan their vessels accordingly. The duration of the shutdown may increase in the event of exigency, informed a Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Trade Circular this week.
