Höegh Autoliners celebrates 15 years of pioneering success in India

Höegh Autoliners is proud to celebrate a significant milestone as it marks 15 years of operations in India. Over the past decade and a half, the company has not only expanded its footprint in the region but has also received many awards, showing its strong commitment to being among the best in the maritime industry.

Since it started its activities in India, Höegh Autoliners has consistently demonstrated a strong focus on innovation, service quality and customer satisfaction, the company emphasised in a communique.

Höegh Autoliners has set an ambitious goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, demonstrating its commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable future for the global shipping industry. The introduction of the Aurora Class vessels stands as a testament to this commitment. These vessels are 9,100 CEU dual-fuel LNG vessels that are truly Ammonia- and Methanol-ready. They will at delivery be the largest and most environmentally friendly car carriers ever built, and appear to be an inspiration for many subsequent projects transforming the car carrier industry. With the 12 vessel Aurora newbuild program (6 are currently under construction) and option to have up to 4 of these as dual-fuel Ammonia-powered vessels in 2027, Höegh Autoliners is demonstrating distinct leadership in decarbonising the automotive supply chain.

Reflecting on this journey, Höegh Autoliners acknowledges the invaluable support of its partners, clients and dedicated team members in India. The collaborative efforts have been instrumental in achieving these milestones. As Höegh Autoliners looks to the future, the company recognises the great potential India holds and is committed to playing a vital role in the Indian market, the communique added.

Capt. Atuldutt Sharma, Managing Director for Höegh Autoliners India Pvt. Ltd and Head of Sales Middle East, Indian Subcontinent for Höegh Autoliners, shared his thoughts on this milestone: “As we celebrate 15 years in India, we look back on a journey of growth and hard work. Our success is due to our dedicated team and the trust of our partners and customers. The company is ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities in India with the same passion and commitment that have defined its journey over the past 15 years.”
