PM unveils CBFTE scheme to promote MSME exports

The Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, launched the ‘Capacity Building of First-Time MSME Exporters (CBFTE)’ scheme here on Thursday to encourage the export of products and services from the segment. The scheme aims to encourage MSMEs to offer products and services of international standards for the global market. This will enhance the participation of Indian MSMEs in the global value chain and help them realise their export potential, it was emphasised.
 
He also launched a Rs 6,000 crore ‘Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance’ (RAMP) scheme, a World Bank-assisted Central Sector Scheme, as per a report.
